Statement

It has recently come to the attention of Eastspring Investments (Hong Kong) Limited (hereinafter “the Company”) that some unlawful organisations or individuals may have falsely impersonated the Company to conduct illegal activities such as deceiving investors to invest through online channels such as the internet, WeChat links and mobile phone apps, as well as other offline channels. Such actions may be in violation of criminal laws. In this context, the Company makes the following statements:

1. The Company’s only official website is www.eastspring.com.hk. It does not have a WeChat account and bears no responsibility for any unlawful activities or false information originating from these and other online and offline channels that falsely impersonates the Company.

2. The Company is licensed by Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to engage in regulated activities of dealing in securities, advising on securities and asset management. Its license number is AFO909, details of which can be viewed on SFC’s website (https://www.sfc.hk/publicregWeb/corp/AFO909/details).

3. Investors who wish to invest in Eastspring Investment fund products should do so through financial institutions authorised by the Company to sell its funds. In addition, the Company has never authorised any organisation(s) or person(s) in Mainland China to sell its funds or provide investment advisory services.

4. The Company will report to the relevant authorities any suspicious or unlawful activities undertaken by any person or organisation falsely impersonating the Company, and reserves the right to take legal actions against fraudsters.

Declaration: The Company reminds investors to stay vigilant and not to rely on any fraudulent information to avoid financial losses. Investors who suspect unlawful activities by fraudsters or organisations falsely impersonating the Company should immediately report the matter to relevant authorities and the police. Investors who have already fallen victims to fraud should immediately report to the police to protect their rights and interests. Should you have any queries, please feel free to consult with the Company. The above mentioned deceptive practices that induce investors to invest, and other illegal activities conducted by fraudsters impersonating the Company and its employees, are not connected to the Company.
