Eastspring Investments, the asset management arm of Prudential Corporation Asia, received six awards in Asia Asset Management's annual Best of the Best Awards. In addition, Eastspring’s India joint venture, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company was the winner of two awards.

The Asia Asset Management Best of the Best Awards, now in its 12th year, recognise the most outstanding players in the fund management industry in Asia. The awards are divided into three categories – Regional, Performance and Country.

The Regional Award for Best Asset Management House in Asia recognises Eastspring’s overall contribution to asset management and investing. The firm has built robust capabilities over the long-term and focuses on its people, infrastructure and processes to ensure it remains a trusted advisor across the 11 Asia markets in which the firm operates. Eastspring is one of Asia’s largest asset managers with close to US$118 billion in assets under management (as at 30 September 2014).

In the other Regional categories, Eastspring was awarded Asian Bond House of the Year in acknowledgement of the scope of its coverage, strong fund performance and rigorous investment process. Eastspring’s Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income, Ooi Boon Peng, received the CIO of the Year Award for his significant achievements and strong team leadership.

In the Performance category, Eastspring gained recognition in the Japanese Equity category, over three years.

In the Country Awards, Eastspring in Korea was identified as the Best Korean Equity Manager due to the standout performance over the past 12 months of its Korea equity funds.

In Malaysia, Chen Fan Fai was named CIO of the Year, acknowledging his team leadership and investment performance during 2014.

Eastspring’s India joint venture, ICICI Prudential, won the award for Best Fund House and CEO of the Year was awarded to Nimesh Shah.

“These awards are a great acknowledgement of the strength of many areas of our business. They reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence in investment performance and the importance we place on building and maintaining the trust of our clients,” said Mr Guy Strapp, Chief Executive, Eastspring Investments.
