Eastspring Investments Appoints Faizal Gaffoor as Deputy Regional CEO and Head of Products & Partnerships

SINGAPORE (10 January 2023) - Eastspring Investments (“Eastspring”), the USD 222 billion¹ asset management business of Prudential plc, has appointed Faizal Gaffoor as Deputy Regional CEO and Head of Products & Partnerships.

Faizal joined Eastspring in December 2022, reporting to Wendy Lim, Regional CEO Asia and Global Head of Distribution, Marketing & Products. Based in Singapore, Faizal will be responsible for the growth of the Eastspring franchise in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, and for the delivery of regional product strategies for retail and institutional businesses. He also oversees Eastspring’s business relationship management with the Prudential Life entities and will grow the firm’s ILP and non-ILP businesses.

Faizal has over 25 years’ experience in asset management, and was most recently Managing Director and Group Chief Marketing Officer for UOB Asset Management (UOBAM), where he drove AUM growth and market share through strategic business and product development initiatives. Prior to this, he was with Citibank’s regional investment products and distribution team.

“Faizal has a strong track record in driving business performance across both intermediary and institutional businesses regionally, and his deep understanding of multiple distribution channels and strength in building relationships will be key as we execute on our growth plans for 2023 and beyond,” said Wendy Lim, Regional CEO Asia and Global Head of Distribution, Marketing & Products, Eastspring Investments.
