Eastspring Investments appoints Sean Cunningham as Head of Capital Markets

Active management remains core focus of Eastspring; newly created role reflects Eastspring's commitment to building ETF capabilities and broadening investment platform and client access

SINGAPORE (11 August 2026) – Eastspring Investments (“Eastspring”), the USD269 billion¹ Asia-headquartered asset management business of Prudential plc, today announced the appointment of Sean Cunningham as Head of Capital Markets, effective 11 August 2026. Based in Singapore, Sean will report to Ioannis Kampouris, Head of Quantitative Strategies.

In this newly created role, Sean will lead the development of Eastspring’s ETF capital markets function, helping to establish the market infrastructure, market maker relationships and operational capabilities required to help build a scalable and competitive ETF business.

Sean has over 20 years of investment and capital markets experience, with deep expertise across ETFs, trading, market structure and product development. Most recently, he was Head of ETFs for Asia at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for growing the firm’s ETF business across the region. He has also held senior leadership roles at BlackRock iShares and Schroders Investment Management.
