Jakarta (2 March 2017) - Eastspring Investments (“Eastspring”), the Asian investment management arm of Prudential plc with USD 140 billion in assets under management and one of Asia’s largest investment managers, today announced that Alan T. Darmawan has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Eastspring Investments Indonesia, effective per 1 March 2017, subject to Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (“OJK”) approval.
An industry veteran with 25 years of experience, Mr. Darmawan has had a successful career leading investment and distribution functions for major financial companies in Indonesia. In his role at Eastspring, Mr Darmawan will report to Deputy CEO, Michele Bang, and will be responsible for growing Eastspring’s offering in Indonesia.

A well-known figure in the Indonesian financial services industry, Mr. Darmawan joins Eastspring from Allianz Life Indonesia where he has worked for over 12 years, most recently as the Chief Investment Officer, holding senior roles in market management, bancassurance and risk man-agement as well as being a member of the Board of Directors (BOD).
