  • Guy Strapp
    Chief Executive
    Guy Strapp

    Guy Strapp is Chief Executive of Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential Corporation Asia, part of Prudential plc of the UK. He joined Eastspring Investments (previously Prudential Asset Management) in 2007.
    In this role he oversees the management of retail and institutional investors. Guy is a member of Eastspring Investments Executive Committee and sits on the Board of Prudential Corporation Asia.
    Since joining the company, Guy has held several senior roles including Chief Investment Officer where he played a key role in the expansion of the investment team’s capabilities to cover a broad range of asset classes. Guy has held senior executive positions at JP Morgan Investment Management, Citigroup Asset Management and the BT Financial Group. Among other roles, he has served as the Chief Investment Officer of Samsung/JP Morgan ITMC in Korea and President of Cititrust in Japan. He began his fund management career in Australia.
    Guy is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the Sydney Society of Investment Professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne and a Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

  • Michele Bang
    Deputy Chief Executive Officer
    Michele Bang

    Michele Bang joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, in November 2013. She is responsible for working closely with Chief Executive, Guy Strapp and country CEOs in setting the overall strategy and direction of the business and spearheads the continued expansion of Eastspring’s distribution across all markets globally.

    In March 2017,  Michele was appointed as Chair of Prudential Corporation Asia’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative and Member of Group-wide Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee. She is responsible for providing thought leadership and takes an active role in the promotion of D&I initiatives.

    Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Michele worked at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management where she has held a number of senior leadership roles and board seats in Asia over the eight years overseeing multiple Asian markets.
    Michele has more than 25 years of experience working for global financial institutions with a business franchise in Asia Pacific. She was voted by Asian Investor as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Asset Management in Asia Pacific. Michele holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Japanese Studies from Cornell University, NY and a Diploma in International Relations from London School of Economics, England.

  • Ted Pull
    Chief Financial Officer
    Ted Pull

    Ted Pull joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Chief Financial Officer, in January 2000.

    Ted is responsible for the financial management of the business and works closely with both regional support teams and venture management. He is a member of the Executive Committee of Eastspring Investments and sits on the Board of Prudential Corporation Asia.
    Ted joined Eastspring Investments (formerly Prudential Asset Management) in 2000 as Director of Finance and has held several senior roles including Chief Executive Officer of Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Ltd from 2008 to 2012 and Chief Operating Officer of Eastspring Investments from 2006 to 2013.

  • Phil Stockwell
    Chief Executive Officer (Singapore) / Chief Operating Officer
    Phil Stockwell

    Phil Stockwell is the Chief Executive Officer of Eastspring Investments in Singapore, as well as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Management Committee.

    Phil is responsible for the Singapore Office, which is the largest of the asset manager’s 10 offices in Asia, with over 350 staff, and serves as Eastspring’s central hub.

    He is also responsible for the investment operational, IT, data and administrative support for the entire organization, covering all middle and back office operations.
    Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Phil was COO of BT Investment Management in Australia, a publically listed fund manager and part of Westpac Banking Corporation. In his role, Phil was responsible for the leadership of product development, product management, client services, dealing, investment operations, IT, risk and compliance, company secretarial and legal. Phil has also been a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, and with KPMG Consulting. Phil has over 13 years of investment industry experience.
    Phil holds an MBA from Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), UNSW, Sydney and a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Queensland, Brisbane. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

  • Virginie Maisonneuve
    Chief Investment Officer
    Virginie Maisonneuve

    Virginie Maisonneuve joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Chief Investment Officer (Eastspring), in January 2017.
    She is responsible for the management and investment performance of all of our investment capabilities as well as our Dealing function and the Client Portfolio Management team. Virginie is a member of the Eastspring Executive Committee. She is also a member of the CFA Institute Future of Finance Advisory Council.

    Most recently Virginie worked for PIMCO as Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer of Equities. In this role she was responsible for the firm's active equity portfolio management and its development. As a member of Pimco’s Investment Committee she also contributed to the firm’s overall asset allocation process. 

    Prior to joining PIMCO, Virginie worked at Schroders as Head of Global Equities, Director and Portfolio Manager for more than 10 years.

    Virginie has also worked at a number of major asset management firms, including Clay Finlay, State Street Research, Batterymarch and Martin Currie. While managing funds directly, Virginie was a top rated fund manager and was named as one of the Top Women in Finance in Europe from 2008 to 2014. In 2014 she was selected by industry members for Money Management Executive’s inaugural Top Women in Asset Management Awards.

    In addition to her investment experience, Virginie was the Chair of the CFA UK Gender-Diversity network from 2015 – 2016, a member of the advisory Council of the International crisis group and has a strong background in responsible investment.

    Virginie holds a Bachelor’s degree in political economics from the People’s University, Beijing and a Master’s degree in Mandarin Chinese from Dauphine University in Paris. She is also a CFA charterholder.

  • Gwee Siew Ping
    Chief Risk Officer
    Gwee Siew Ping

    Gwee Siew Ping joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Chief Risk Officer, in 2013.
    She is responsible for Legal, Risk & Compliance across the 10 markets in which Eastspring Investments operate.
    Before joining Eastspring Investments, Siew Ping worked at Schroders, where she was Regional Head of Compliance and Risk, Asia Pacific. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of a number of the Schroder entities incorporated in Singapore including the asset management and the merchant bank entities. She joined Schroders in 1997 and held several senior compliance roles within the firm. Prior to Schroders, she was an Internal Auditor at Swiss Bank Corporation and JP Morgan respectively, leading audits in the Global Markets and Emerging Markets Treasury audits across Asia Pacific.
    In 2009, Siew Ping was awarded the Distinguished Financial Industry Certified Professional certification in Compliance - Fund Management by the Institute of Banking and Finance.
    Siew Ping holds a MBA awarded by the University of Manchester (Manchester Business School) and a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the National University of Singapore. She is also professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant of Singapore by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

  • Caroline Johnston
    Chief Human Resources Officer
    Caroline Johnston

    Caroline Johnston joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Chief Human Resource Officer, in January 2017.
    She is responsible for leading our Human Resources (“HR”) function but will also play a key role in developing and executing a people and culture plan that will support our growth in the long term.

    She has more than 30 years of experience with European and multinational corporations, in a broad range of management consulting, HR, and senior management positions.

    Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Caroline was Head of HR Transformation and Chief Operating Officer for HR at UBS in Zurich. She has also worked at JPMorgan where she spent more than 12 years working in Glasgow, Mumbai and Singapore where she held both Technology and HR roles.

    Caroline holds a Master of Arts from the University of Glasgow.

  • Xavier Meyer
    Head of Product and Partnerships
    Xavier Meyer

    Xavier Meyer joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as the Head of Product and Partnerships, in 2014.

    He is responsible for overseeing the Product and Partnerships team which comprises of the Product Strategy and Development team, Life Partner team and the Investment Partners team.

    Xavier first joined Eastspring as Head of Product Strategy and Development in 2014 before assuming his current post. Prior to joining Eastspring, Xavier worked for thirteen years with BNP Paribas in Europe and Asia (Seoul & Hong Kong), in product, investment & business development functions. He was APAC Head of Product Development and Strategic Marketing for BNP Paribas Investment Partners from 2012 to 2014, and Managing Director for Shinhan BNP Paribas between 2009 and 2012.

    Xavier holds a Master’s degree in Economics & Finance from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s degree from NEOMA Business School.

  • Bernard Teo
    Head of Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisition
    Bernard Teo

    Bernard Teo joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Head of Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, in September 2016.
    He is responsible for strategic growth initiatives including acquisition execution, mergers, strategic team lift-outs and partnerships.

    Prior to joining Eastspring, Bernard worked in the investment banking industry focusing on financial institutions. He worked at Goldman Sachs for 12 years, where he was a Managing Director and Co–Chief Operating Officer of Asia Pacific excluding Japan (APxJ) for the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Head of China FIG. He was responsible for clients in Greater China and South East Asia and co-managed a group of 50 APxJ FIG bankers.  During this time, he was involved in a number of key transactions including the $20.5bn IPO of AIA, the $11.2bn IPO of Bank of China, the $3.6bn IPO of PICC Group and the $4.1bn IPO for GF Securities. 

    Previously, Bernard was with Lehman Brothers/Nomura International where he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Financial Institutions Group in the Investment Banking Division. 

    Bernard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
